If you love coffee but not the side effects, this blend is for you. Not only is it delicious, it only contains a small amount of caffeine and is also great for the body and mind!
Collect your Dandelion Roots in Autumn as this is when they are at their best. When looking for Cleavers seeds this is also best done in the Winter and you want the brown ones not those that are still green! You can also add other goodies such as Cacao nibs, Cinnamon or Burdock root. Experiment with this wonderful herb and see what works for you!

Cleavers Seeds
Once you have your Roots and seeds, give them a good wash and then chop the roots up into small pieces. Set the oven to just under 200C and spread the root pieces on a baking sheet before roasting in the oven for 20-3o minutes.
Place your Cleavers seeds on a different sheet as they will take less time to roast, approximately 10-15 minutes.
Once the roots and seeds have turned a chocolate brown colour, allow them to cool slightly before running them through a coffee grinder.
Once ground, pop a tsp per person into the cafetiere with hot water for about 10 minutes to make a nice strong pot
